    Exclamation Tattoo Q

hey boys i got inked up on friday, it was my first tattoo it turned out wicked, but its been kind of itchy and i dont know if thats normal. It looks like the skin or tattoo is sort of chapped or scabbing Is that normal? Let me know if you have any idea, or I'll go 2 my tat guy 2morrow.

Let me know how long it takes before you're ok to train again. I'm thinking of getting one myself.

thats normal, you should start to scab up in a day or two, at least thats how it is for me.

massacre...you dont need to take any days off for a tat, i have sat for 5 hours in a night and have no problem lifting the next day.

Yes dont pick at it or scratch it. Make sure you point the ointment on it. I trained a day after I got my tatoo.

nah, i can sit in the chair forever, doesnt bother me. I used to be heavy into body suspensions and stuff like that so pain has no effect on me whatsoever. We both took two 20 minute breaks for food.

Stop thinking small and start designing a sleave... you will end up doing it anyway, do you want to work around some chinese letter? Think of your theme and work from there. Even if you stop at least it will all be tied in together.

Very primal, but a very good way to have clarity. Pain is very pure.

    Hard to explain.

A back hook can handle about 200 lbs, but then you have to take in account for swinging etc.. 3 hooks would be safe.

I dont do it anymore and to be honest, I dont like most of the people involved in this kind of thing. For many its a masochistic sexual thing, which grosses me out because masochists are weak sick individuals who don't deserve to breath my air.

I did it for other reasons. It's horribly painful, beyond belief actually. It put me in a different state of mind where i can see things more clearly and for the meathead in me... if i can hang myself by large stainless steel 6 guage steel hooks, what can anyone possibly do to me?

what are you using on it? Did the tatt-artist tell you to apply ointment? I used A&D ointment.. never had any itching whatsoever...or scabbing.

I sat for 8 hours straight on my left forearm. Then the very next morning sat for 4 more hours to finish it off. That sucked. After its all crusty and dried only to go back over it with the needle again!! I also got 9 hours of tribal on my shoulders that spread down my entire back.

Mine scabbed up pretty bad. Some tosser tackled me a few days after it got it and ripped off half of the scabbing. I was not best pleased!

Also, You are not supposed to let it see the sun, until it is fully healed. The sun will fade it.
Keep some sort of ointment on it, They make some Tattoo ointment. I forget what they call it. Tattoo ??

why would you wanna do this? when i got my tat the guy said to keep lotion (no scents, no aloe vera/vitamin e) on it or some vaseline or somethin. i had these on it every day to keep it from gettin real dry and from itchin like a mofo. wondering the reason that you'd want to keep it dry?

I keep mine saturated in tatoo goo for days.

Also, this is an off topic but who takes a benadryl right after? Also does anyone else get the ink shiits after application? Every single time for me
