Wish i could say i havent done the same, but i have. Spotter couldnt handle the weight worth a **** and when i couldnt push it up, neither could he. **** bar ended up on my chest while i rocked plates back and forth till the bar flipped (i dont use clips at the end).

Why did he "bottom out" like that?
Surely he knew how much was on the bar, but by how he collapsed made it appear like it was 1000 lbs. heavier than he was used to.

Weird, coz even when i cant push up i can at least keep it from bashing against my chest for a few seconds, as Swole said its like hes doing way way more than hes used to, coz his arms completely gave way, i wouldnt blame the spotters as they didnt have time to stop it from hitting his chest, its like the guy just dropped it on himself.

I think we have all had this happen to us.
However, during a PL meet there are two spotters (one on each end of the bar). They should have done a better job IMO.

What's everyone concerned about? Isn't that the way it's done? I like to drop it off my rib cage, but if I can get on the belly, more power to me.
