what would you do in this situation?

ive started seeing a girl who i get on real well with and have a laugh with her when we are out.

she is a catholic from a tough republician area(catholic area)and im a prodestant living in a quiet area.

anyway ive picked her up a few times and i dont feel too safe houses boarded up etc,if ppl knew i was a prod they would burn my car out etc.

her dad seems like a bit of a hook ,he drives about with no mot,tax or insurance etc and doesnt work.

last sat nite we went out to a club we were both pissed then she said come back with me,so i said ok ,she snecked me up into her room and i banged her all nite ,if her dad had of heard i would probably not be writing this.

what should i do just forget it or take the risk and it may not be as bad as i think?

If I was her father I'd kill you both, or at least make sure whatever babies you might have are brought up catholic. Seriously, no flame but you know the situation. I couldn't bang a prody bird up there without expecting sh*t either.

I find it strange that two people cant be accepted due to relegious beliefs. Its sad that violance of extreme nature has to take place to try and keep two faiths apart. Hence religon being the biggest cause of war since the begining of man kind.......

Its nothing to do with religion really. Your British so you don't understand the problems here. Prodestants are traditionally loyal to the British crown. Catholics are traditionally Irish nationalists. When partition was signed in Northern Ireland catholics were in a minority, but we also signed in a 'boundaries commission' whereby the border between the Irish republic and Northern Ireland would move back as area's became catholic/nationalist. Catholics traditionally have bigger families than prodestants so this would have worked if Stormont/British had kept to their word. They didn't, hense ethnic cleansing on a small scale. Catholics turned on their prod neighbours, as did Prods on their catholic neighbours.

Even as recent as the early 1970's Irish catholics didn't even have a vote in Ulster (Northern Ireland) elections, so had no public representation. They weren't allowed join trades unions, civil service, limited public service jobs with little prospect of promotion, the list is long. Its only since the mid 80's that gaelic has been thought in Northern Irish schools, small point, but an illustration of how British tried to suppress us untill very recently.

I don't hate prods/loyalists, I don't see them as much different than ourselves. I just wish they'd fcuk off back to Scotland and leave us alone, lol..

to these types of murals I says "**** off"

Seriously you rnot moving to Kangorooland soon? Get her well and ask her to follow you! All Irish likes Kangorooland, so just marry her and sing
"the orange and the green" and this was gonna happen to your son

My father was an Ulster man, proud Protestant was he.
My mother was a Catholic girl, from county Cork was she.
They were married in two churches, lived happily enough,
Until the day that I was born and things got rather tough.

Baptized by Father Riley, I was rushed away by car,
To be made a little Orangeman, my father's shining star.
I was christened "David Anthony," but still, inspite of that,
To me father, I was William, while my mother called me Pat.

With Mother every Sunday, to Mass I'd proudly stroll.
Then after that, the Orange lodge would try to save my soul.
For both sides tried to claim me, but i was smart because
I'd play the flute or play the harp, depending where I was.

Now when I'd sing those rebel songs, much to me mother's joy,
Me father would jump up and say, "Look here would you me boy.
That's quite enough of that lot", he'd then toss me a coin
And he'd have me sing the Orange Flute or the Heros of The Boyne

One day me Ma's relations came round to visit me.
Just as my father's kinfolk were all sitting down to tea.
We tried to smooth things over, but they all began to fight.
And me, being strictly neutral, I bashed everyone in sight.

My parents never could agree about my type of school.
My learning was all done at home, that's why I'm such a fool.
They've both passed on, God rest 'em, but left me caught between
That awful color problem of the Orange and the Green.

My ex GF was prodestant. We were together about 3 years. I'd have to say I will NEVER do that again. They were all nice people (her family), don't get me wrong. But you have to imagine this. Sitting around the dinner table, listening to catholic jokes Pope jokes ....etc. Very ignorant buch of f*ckers when it come to that kind of stuff. I'm Italian. Catholic jokes + Juice= Time to fix em up a little!!. Then, my family and hers went on a huge family trip to Cuba. Cubans are a very Religious bunch. The jokes started, and well my brother ends up beating the crap out of her brother and his brothers father in law, he's 21 and a juicer as well. To make a long story short, I explained to the resort what had happened. They gave my GF a downgraded standered room, left me in the delux room I originally had, and treated my family like gold. Mind you, this was only the second night we were there. They must have felt like an embarraseed bunch of fool the remainder of the trip. So, the moral is, there are a lot of really good girls out there with very good backgrounds. Don't waste your time my friend. Lets say you end up married, what type of ceremony do you have? what kind of school do you send your kids to?? ....
    It can get very complicated.
(I'm not knocking anyone. There are good and bad seeds everywhere, If you can avoid it, I would!!)

    - I spend too much time there
    - I have a specialization in Irish studies, especially toward republicanism
    - I am the proud son of a republican man!

    and both communities love me!

The republicans know I am more hardcore than them!
the loyalists think I am cool because I am a canadian army officer who pledged on the queen, and even when I say im a good republican they laugh and think im a crazy big lad ****er

I think I gotta go back soon, havent bombed any RUC sorry PSNI stations lately im bored!

I do believe that America faught a war with the English occupying force and evetually kicked them out. Oh how quickly they forget. The English have no right to be in Northern Ireland, nor do the Israeli's have any right to have taken over Palestine. I could go on with all the other occupations going on around the world. Its interesting that people from the countries who ARNT occupied always have the most to say.

On a lighter note, SC that signature fvcking rocks bro !!!!!

Read what I said above. Its little to do with religion, or a god. Its to do with a country, a British monarchy and a few hundred years of British oppression in Ireland and our struggle against that.
