1. ## physics question?

A merry-go-round rotates at the rate of 0.20 rev/s with an 80-kg man standing at a point 2.0m from the axis of rotation.

What is the new angular speed when the man walks to a point 1.0m from the center?

2. it's the same, since the man has only moved, the rotation hasn't changed, only the mans perception of it has.

3. that is true but I think im trying to find what he perseves as his angular speed.

I forget the formula, but the speed will be twice as much since he's 2x closer to the axis.
