Anyone just stop working out for some days???

I have been non stop working out HARD and dedicated for the last 3 months.. Working out at the gym Mon-Wed-Fri, and doing almost 2 hours of cardio EVERY SINGLE DAY ( bike riding )

I have lost about 20lbs so far ( 195 down to about 173 ) For the past month or so I could feel that my body is WIPED OUT! My lower back is hurting from riding so much and just my entire body is always sore.. I worked out this week Mon-Wed doing cardio of course with these days, Yesterday Thu. was the first time I didn't do cardio in the 3 months, its now Friday and I am actually thinking of just not doing anything and start back up Mon. Maybe I will be fresh and recovered to actually do better?? I plan on resting allot and possibly eating a little more/worse than I usually do..

Is this a good idea to let the body rest for this amount of time? Anyone else do this after a certain amount of months??

There comes a point of diminishing returns where rest is best.

    Sounds like it's time.

I have been in that space myself...usually with persistent injuries, take some time off...one week will actually have you come back stronger. Good luck.

I know some dumbasses who don't even take days off during the week, let alone every 3 months. How the hell do you lift 30 days strait and think you're gaining? Apparently the workouts aren't hard enough if they're able to do that.
