I dont know if fallout would be old school. But fallout 1 and 2 is the best computer rpg's ever made!!
If your more into fantasy then baldurs gate never fails.

if you havent played chrono trigger it really is the most amazing game ever
the origional diablo for pc was pretty good, I had a lot of fun on that in the past.
