Any karaoke fans out there ?? Need help

So my neice is a huge american idol fan, anyways our family thought we would all pitch in and get her a karaoke machine. I heard there was one out there that was just like all the other machines out there expect you can record the voice and viedo and play it back over a television ???? Anybody fimular with this type of machine or know of any good ones to get ??? All help would be greatly apperciated

My father has owned an operated a karaoke/entertainment business here for the last 8 years.

I'm sure fo the equipment you're referring to..but i do know that the standard karaoke equipment...when run tru a PC with audio-video jacks (inputs) can be used to record a session. A digital videocam can be run simultaneously and everything compiled and burnt to DVD
