I fuked up my gatdam back ...

I dont get it.... I've been workin out for over 10 years ... and I'm not even as strong as I have been before... I've pressed some heavy shoulders in my day and this wasn't one of those days.

So I warm up with some 50% max weights and then get into some military press, 225 goes up and down, no problems, 275 no problems 315 after the set .... my fukin neck/upper back is SORE as hell in the center area there.

I was in good position comin down to about my mouth level (im 6 3 so I have long arms) in line with my body at a good angle and Im basically fukked from the rhomboids up to the mid of my neck... i dont get it I cant turn my fukin neck side to side so damn good at all, I had the worst fukin sleep, neck all tightened up in morn there... ahh fuk, now my weekend is ruined.

    IM PISSED.

I wonder if I should go see a spine cracker or a general doctor to check it out... I mean if I go to a chiro then he may make it worse no? I've never been.... and doctors will be like hmmm, just rest.
    NEXT.

    goofs

ahhh well, I just pissed the hell off about this.

I'd say see a doctor but if you won't, at least get some massage, ideally by someone certified to do sports massage- it increases the blood flow to the injured muscles and speeds healing. Or, you can use one of the hand-held electronic massagers you can buy at almost any department store - start gentle, and stretch. Use advil or motrin to reduce inflamation but not when working out - you don't want to mask the pain and get injured worse. Definately roll shoulders, do shrugs, mimic presses and rows - anything to limber up the injured area and again, increase blood flow. Good luck and respect the pain - you'll come back faster.
