Just wonderin how and what this "reputation" this is?

I have some reputations recieved here and there..

whats up with that? what is it?

I mean I know what reputation means, but how or what does it effect?

I mean the "reputations received" like when you edit you avatar or location type thing... its in there somewhere?...

I dont really mean shit, you probably gave someone some good advice and they recognized you for it and they clicked on that little silver thing below your avatar and gave you a rep.

Ditto...it's pretty neutral here.

I think the rep is balanced out to a certain number here

So people can't rep-whore or something.

But on other sites...when you give good advice..or post something inspirational or informative you get rep points...which add to your reputation...and allow newer members to see who contributes more on the site...

It supercedes post-count IMO

my rep is always going down on all my forums.. wtf is up w/ that?! .. is it kuz im fat?.. i mean i try to act gay to hang w/ most of you peeps but .. my homoeroticshananigans arent up to par i guess

No doubt, I wish they'd actually put emphasis on reps here at AR, that way members can see who REALLY knows what they're talking abou, cuz as we all know number of posts doesnt equal amount of knowledge.
