Def not key west.
If you like scuba, fishing etc then islamorada isn't bad. They also have a garden/zoo with all kinds of sea animals and stuff that the kids might like.

Go to Key West and stop along the way or on the way back. Go to Mallory Square at sunset. One of the most photographed sunets in the world. Have fun.
