It's for stopping a common cold. It's a Q-tip in a package w/ this zinc solution. It's callled a "homeopathic" aid or something. If you take it when symptoms start, it's supposed to possibly stop the cold, but def shorten the duration and lessen the severity. I use and I think it works. I have used it when symptoms start, and sometimes it goes away, and I know it lessens the severity, because I was born with a predisposition to bronchitis. Before, everytime I got a cold it would start in my throat, move to my sinuses, and finallly come to my chest and I would cough for like 2 weeks. I've been using it for almost a year, and got a couple minor colds, but no coughing.
Plus- I used to get sick almost everytime my son did, and now, when he get symptoms, I start Zicaming it up, and I haven't caught anything from him during his 1st year of school! (if you know kids, you know they get sick a lot, when they are first introduced to a bunch of kids)

It's relatively new, and over the counter.

I never heard of that product, but I have been using zinc lozenges for years when I get throat infections and tonsilitis and it definetly speeds up recovery and reduces the pain.
