Relax fellas, who cares. We all know that squats are an important part of leg training, but not the only weapon in our arsenals to make our legs grow and become stronger. Most everyone on this board, who doesn't have back or knee problems, does free bar squats often.

IMO free weight squats and smith machine squats are almost 2 different squats. The reason being is that the smith comes str8 up, if you try that with free weight, you'll really look retarded. Smith is sort of close to a box squat.
