didn't even think of the 70' chevelle ss 454. that has to be the best muscle car ever built. seen only 1 at a car show and all the pics in the world don't do it justice. very rare and worth alot of $.

    You're not supposed to crash it . . .
It's well-suited for what it needs to do. And if you take the lunatics off the road who don't have car insurance or valid driver licenses (which here in Texas makes up fully 40% of motorists), and then enforce the "2-second rule" they always talk about in driver safety classes, the number of wrecks would decline precipitously.
I know that such things will never happen, as people drive according to their passions and not intelligently (or even lawfully), so like most of the rest of y'all, wanting a car like this is primarily wishful thinking.

    C'est la vie . . .

I would just get a brand new escalade with a ton of extra (DVD's in headreast/ system/ 24"'s etc..) Black with a chromed out grill (i drive the cheaper version of this ....2003 tahoe) . I need something spacious and luxzurious to fit my ass. I like to be comfy, couldnt ride in one of those small cars, but if I was gonna buy one of those I would get soem kind of mazaratti (sp) of a ferrari of some sort

JMO but maserati's look a h3ll of a lot nicer than a mustang, both inside and out. I still probably wouldn't ever buy one though.

I agree. Are there even Maserati dealers here in the states or do you have to get them imported? I've never seen a dealership if they do exist here in America.

Yeah most of the ferrari dealerships selll maserati.. Sad its not what it used to be but there is a huge market for the car at the price they sell it for.. It sells just on the name..most buyers not aware of what it really is they are buying.

The Ford GT is not faster than an Enzo, but they are very very close, almost the same.

    Enzo:
    Top speed: 209 mph
    Horsepower: 650
    0-60: 3.3 seconds
    1/4 mile: 11.2 secs

    GT:
    Top speed: 205
    Horsepower: 550
    0-60: 3.3 seconds
    1/4 mile: 11.6 secs

And retail price for the GT is somewhere around $150,000, I think, whereas the retail for the Enzo is around $650,000.

wow, good info.. they are suprisingly closer than i would have thought.. the #1 reason is how low the ford gt is.. its hangs pretty tight for 100hp less..

if I had to use my own money i would buy the ford gt.. however lets not forget the v-10 prosche carrera gt also.. one bad as car thats in the same class.

Yeah, they are both extremely nice machines. I was surprised to see how well the GT performed also. I found the GT stats at Ford's site. fordgt.net. Can't remember for the Enzo, I just searched for it. Those stats could be off give or take a bit, but they sure are close to be so far apart in $$$.

the stats are pretty accurate.. i did find a site where someone went 10.8 in the enzo but they also went 11.2 in the ford.. so still 4/10 difference.. the new ford shelby gt500 will go 11's outta the box too.. in real life not on motor trend etc..

The motor trend stats and stuff is a lot of times perfect conditions, so stats are better. The Shelby GT500 will kick ass when it gets here. I can't wait. I had thought about purchasing an '05 GT, but I am seriously considering waiting for the arrival of the new Shelby. Will be more $, but will end up the same as the older Shelby's that are now collector items and worth far more than what people originally paid for them.

you wanna know something.. everytime i have ever seen a car at the track bone stock run its faster than the motortrend time. I dont think the guys who drive tehm are really drag racers since they do all around testing..

for example my buddy with an srt4 neon went 13.5 and another buddy with a 03 cobra went 12.4 both of which are faster than the book times.. I did the same with my wrx.. 13.8 stock
