    Arnolds encyclopedia of bb

I really like this book, it has some good info, most of it I already know but its written in a way that is very interesting to read, some good pics in there too!

I reccomend it to everyone, begginers and experts, the first ones can use it for learning and the others for motivation!

    Props to Arnold!

This was on eof my first reads when I stepped into bb.. Great read but understand that some of the info is pretty old school.

Most of the info in that book is from the 70's and 80's. I like the pics though.

Totally agree. I have the book. First book i got was Musclemags encyclopedia to bodybuilding. Again a bit dated but i thought and still do think it's superior to Arnolds encyclopedia.

that book is a beginner book, nothing that is in it is new to anyone who has been around more than a year or so.. the pics are ok, it just proves that columbo is better than ahnold.. but far as being a great BBin tool for anyone past beginner, it isnt that great at all..

lol i bought "anabolic edge" the sequel to primer, what a piece of crap!! It was about 40 pages long, it featured 35pages on supplements and 5 pages skimming over gear, hgh and slin (actually im not sure if it even mentioned slin).

depends what you are after, there are lots of "advanced" books that teach different schools of training. "Brawn" which was written for naturals, "Heavy duty" by mike mentzer, Max OT etc.

I have "Brawn". It's got some good info. Def altrernative. There's a follow-up called, "Beyond Brawn".

Yeah, it's worth reading, but get, "Beyond Brawn", it's basically just an updated version.

One thing I don't like is the author, Stuart McRobert, is an extreme hardgainer, and is very jealous of the gentically blessed. He badmouths steroid users almost to the point of saying that they don't even have to train to get a great physique, that it's all about the drugs. But there is enough good stuff to justify reading it. There's an emphasis on becoming stronger and stronger, and since it's for hardgainers, the strategies are very detailed. I think it would be beneficial to anyone. You just have to weed out the badmouthing. It pumped my ego up- according to him, I'm truly genetcally blessed!

The modern encyclopedia of BB by Arnold was the first book i got when i started working out. I heard about it coming out and went to the book store soon as it was released. I think that was 1998. Great book

this book is the bible of everything bodybuilding...

may be old but outdated?? some of the stuff may be but the exercise profiles and bulking diets he has on there are great for anyone i think.

cutting diets include milk which may be different from todays standard...but overall the best "book" on bodybuilding id say.

i love reading it, i picture arnold talking when i read it...its like hes personally training me
