    Family Guy fans!

The Family Guy Movie "Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story!" due out this fall has been leaked on the net

Just downloaded it and watched it... pretty good! Language and situations are a bit more coarse than the weekly TV episodes

    Torrents are available:

    DVD-R version (3.5 gigs): http://torrentspy.com/search.asp?mod...y=family%20guy

    VCD version (750mb): http://torrentspy.com/search.asp?mod...y=family%20guy

Not sure if there is a DiVX version... but the VCD version is quite good.

Can I watch the .torrent (VCD) version thru media player? Or do I need a seperate program to run it?

The VCD is an ISO file... (an ISO is a CD image), you have to burn it to a CD with nero and then it plays in your DVD player... I believe if your computer has a DVD drive it will also work once you burned it to CD.

Would I be able to watch the other one on my PC though, with media player? Or would I need a special program/player?

Thanks again Red, I'm anxious to see it...

Both are to be burned to CD or DVD-R and watched on a DVD player.

If your computer has a DVD drive, then you can watch it, but I don't think either can be watched on media player... you'd need a DiVX version. If someone has a working torrent link for a DiVX version now's the time to post it

This is possibly a DiVX version but I haven't tried it... http://torrentspy.com/search.asp?mod...y=family%20guy

Thats because it's a torrent file bro

You need to load up this torrent file in a torrent client to download the actual movie. Torrent files are sort of like a library index card telling the torrent client where to find the movie to download.

Having the searching and downloading unrelated makes it harder for the copyright cops to shut down sharing networks.

There are many torrent clients out there you can use... I personally use Azeurus.

I got this warning while in Azeurus:

    Warning
If you have a router/firewall, please check that you have port 6881 UDP open. Decentralised tracking requires this.

How do I ensure this? I mean, where can I check/change these properties?

Thanks to anyone who can help haha...

If you have a router, make sure that port 6881 udp is forwarded (usually in your router config page at 192.168.1.1 under "Port forwarding" if you are running it at default config). If your router has UPnP then u can enable it and Azeurus will take advantage of it.

As for a software firewall (zonealarm or windows firewall), I'll have to let someone else answer that as I use a hardware one and don't have the answer. I'm pretty sure thouth that windows firewall can be made to open certain ports.

Do you have a home network (wireless or wired?) or is your computer plugged straight in your cable modem?

If it's plugged straight in, then it's probably your software firewall thats the problem.

    If it's the windows firewall:

Windows XP users, look here: http://www.microsoft.com/security/protect/ports.asp

Windows XP Service Pack 2 users: You may also configure the Windows Firewall to allow access by application. Add Azureus and javaw.exe (usually C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.X.X\bin\javaw.exe) to the exceptions list to open access for Azureus.

I have an internet router which my PC is wired to, and the router is plugged into the cable modem.

I got it to download fine btw (the XviD version). Do I have to burn it to VCD to watch it? Or do I have to download a special player for it?

Thanks so much Red, really appreciate it...

All you should need is a codec to view it. Heres the one I use: http://dl.codecpack.nl/k/klcodec249b.exe Just download and save open it up in Windows Media player. If that doesnt work for some reason this player should play it (www.videolan.org.).
