MBH,the nurse that helped me out at the end had a white jacket, actually a number of them had those jackets. Now that I think she may not have been a "nurse" per se....a woman outpatient worker w a white jacket and stethascope(sp) is a better def.....
Even so, when I was in there the scrubs did not matter, they were taking care of me and attractive as well. That's a turn on in itself.

I worked ER for over two years and all I can say is working with the bulk of nurses (from any unit--there are some real unfriendly types) will cure anyone of the "nursie fantasy." It is definitly NOT a meat market. I did, however, get to know and then marry a very decent RN from the ER--so perhaps my perspective is biased....

A lot of the older nurses are extremely nasty. They're beyond grumpy. I'm sorry you hate your job and are sticking it out for the pension...but please don't get pissed at me b/c you can't get my IV in.

So the tally is now 3 for 3...
