Am glad there were no fatalaties. Its just one of those unlucky things that happens in life. I like Airbus and cant wait till they bring out the A380. Still the safest way to travel.

AIRBUS >>>> BOEING / Mc Douglas etc. I've flown all over the country and world on all makes and models of aircraft and nothing is better than airbus. wish they used them in the states.

Have they advanced a cause yet?
While having supper I saw on the news that they thought that maybe the plane had been hit by lightning on landing (a few metres from the ground) and that being so close to the ground the lightning was as good as grounded and it killed the motors and instruments?
Anybody hear more?

Apparently it overshot the runway and didnt have enough runway to stop. Lightning didnt hit it but coincidently lightening did hit at the same time the plane crashed so people werent sure at the time. Mind you I havnt had the news on for a couple of hours so not sure if anything else has come out.

They say it might have been due to wind shear

I live minutes away from there. You can still smell the jet fuel today. Glad it didn't end up any worse.

Glad everyone is ok. My friends dad was flying in around the same time from Saudi. My friend said there was SWAT everywhere and he were waiting at the airport for a loooooong time to get his dad.
