Would you be willing to participate in a double blind study that required taking hGH?

    Just testing the waters here.

Would you be willing to participate in a double blind study that required taking hGH?

You would have to have low IGF-1 levels to participate.

You may or may not be getting hGH since its a blind study.

You might be required to have been off all steroids for 6 months.

You would not be able to take steroids during the trial.

    Blood work would be required.

Follow up testing would be required after the trial is over.

You would be taking the trial at your own risk and would have to sign waivers to this.

You could not be HIV positive.

You would have to follow strict diet guidelines.

You would not be able to discuss or tell others during the trial that you were participating in the trial.

GH only or can we throw in some other AS for a really kick-ass cycle? Either way, I'd do it.

I have to cordially disagree with my distinguished colleague 9natural9.

I know Androplex, and if he were to endorse this particular clinical study I would back his judgment without reservation. Androplex is medically literate, and the criteria he posted in his original message in this thread correlates totally with what would be expected in a research study or clinical trial.

I'd sign up. I'm just finishing up a research study myself (not a.s. related). However, I don't think anybody here would qualify with that specific criteria above.

Sounds interesting. What kind of "strict diet restrictions" are you talking about?

Thanks for the interest. I will pass this on.

I am not eligiable for the study. I am taking test already.

Your IGF-1 level must be below 89 ng/ml.

Baum HB, Katznelson L, Sherman JC, Biller BM, Hayden DL, Schoenfeld DA, Cannistraro KE, Kliabanski A.

Submited a paper in the Clin Endocrinol Metab 1998 Sep;83 titled,

"Effects of physilogical growth hormone (GH) therapy on cognition and quality life in patients with adult-onset GH deficiency."

They are from the Neuroendocrine Unit, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, USA.

Thier findings do not support that physiological GH replacement in GHD men for this indication.

    another study:

Clin Endocrinol (Oxf) 1997 OCt: 47

Two years of replacement therapy in adults with growth hormone deficiency.

    Verhelst J, Abs R, Vandeweghe M, Mockel J, Legros JJ, Copinschi G, Mahler C, Velkeniers B, Vanhaelst L, Van Aelst A, De Rijdt D, Stevenaert A, Beckers A.

Deparment of Endocrinology, Algemeen Ziekenhuis Middelheim, Antwerpen, Belgium.

Their study found within 3 months lean body mass increased +5.09, total body water +5.40 while body fat dropped by -10.89% and waist circumference by -1.42%

I have researched other studies that show similiar results such as these.

Several of the docs that I know of are trying to get a clinical trial going but at this time are having trouble with the pharmacy company to pay for the hGH. They are also trying to get grant money to support the study.

I know who is interested in hgH clinical trials by your post in this thread. If things look like its a go I will PM you and let you know the contact phone numbers. Please remember however that your IGF-1 level MUST be below 89 ng/ml to participate in many of the hGH studies.

Just for your information, NIH has clinical trials listed at this web site

http://www.centerwatch.com, do a search on human growth hormone.

Most of the studies are looking for poeple with certain conditions. I hope no one has any of them but if so this might help.

I will keep my ears open and if I hear that the proposed clinical trial looks like a go and starts looking for participants I will PM you.

In the mean time I am still looking for one that I would qualify for and I will keep my eyes open and post if I see something that looks like members here would be interested in.

I am also going to see if I can spark some interest in the docs doing a trial for body builders but the FDA has hGH so regulated its going to be like pushing a rope up hill. Most always all studies will require a low IGF-1 of 89 ng/ml or below.

It is always good to have a list of people that are willing to participate in studies like these however.

I wish I could have brought back better news on this but I did try and will continue too.

    Thanks members.

    BTW,

    This really sucks. CRAP....

Some of these doc decided to do a study with some form of oral product since the pharmacy company would not fund the hGH. They also put a requirement on the study that you have to be 60 or older. If you know anyone 60 plus and GHD PM me and I can get you in touch with the study.

I am still working the other docs. But that rope just wont go up hill.

Keep you posted members, AND I AM SORRY for not having a better report but I am giving it all I have.

I want in A STUDY TOO
