This is a similar post, but I couldnt help posting this... about Kanye West after....

Seeing the cover of Time Magazine From last week. Its says "why he's the smartest man in pop music". After watching this video, if he is the smartest man in pop music.... Then I really feel sorry for pop music.

I bet Time Magazine feels really stupid now.

    http://www.time.com/time/magazine/ar...096499,00.html

The first time Kanye West asked the folks at Roc-A-Fella records to let him rap, there was an uncomfortable silence. As a producer, West had churned out hits for Roc-A-Fella's intimidating trio of stars--Jay-Z, Cam'ron and Beanie Siegel--and earned praise for his great ear and tireless ethic. But in 2002 the idea that someone like West could be a successful rapper was faintly absurd. "Kanye wore a pink shirt with the collar sticking up and Gucci loafers," recalls Damon Dash, then Roc-A-Fella CEO. "It was obvious we were not from the same place or cut from the same cloth." Says Jay-Z: "We all...

The Quote was "the smartest man in pop music"..... Like I said if he's the smartest... then that is pretty darn sad.

He is not an idiot, you are all idiots if you dont think Bush doesnt care about black people. How many blacks did he execute while he was Governor of Texas? Many hundreds of them. I doubt he lost much sleep over these executions, or gave much thought as to how many of these people were actually guilty and deserved to die when he had the power to overturn as many of these executions as he wanted to. Shit, how would you feel if a black president killed 500 white people while he was governor, many under questionable circumstances? If i was black I would hate prez Bush.

BTW I am not black, just anti-Bush, anti-republican, anti-Fox News, but I love that Bill O'Reilly for some reason.

Fair trial? Most of them couldn't afford a lawyer and were given a shitty public defendant, many of whom were asleep, yes ASLEEP during their client's trials. These people were just whisked through the system and given a quick death sentence. Completely unacceptable in this country.

I documented my section, no go ahead and do the same for me big guy, opening you mouth and allowing garbage to fall out does not make what you say true. So lets see what is fact and fiction. So far, all you have said is fiction, unless you have great documented proof of what you say. You said "hundreds of blacks were executed under Bush" I showed you that only a total of 152 people were executed under Bush while he was govenor. So why don't you try to find something with substance, and show me.

But its ok to lie and deceive? When people say things thay can't back up. Some times they should be told they are wrong. Why is the "I win" Smilie there in the first place then?

Again, there is no need to talk to other members like that in a demeaning fashion. What I said is not open for debate, it was simple instruction.

Do with that what you will, but remember this is a warning. Just play nice, and go about your argument in a constructive manner and "kill 'em with kindness". You can still "win" an argument w/out being juvenile.

I don't think he was really out of line man. It's not a real harsh comment he made. Hell in the politics forum people are talking about other people deserving to die...this forum is pretty mild. just my $.02

It seems like you both have worked it out, I just don't think jdawg was really flamming him.

In my opinion the list should be a lot longer.

whisked through the system and given a quick death sentence
I take it you that consider spending over 10 years on death row being "whisked through", that’s not even taking in account the couple of years it takes for the original trial?

It is easy to spout out uninformed opinions, as above.

It is another thing to be able to back up your statements.

'THE BIG BOO' CROWD HISSES KANYE WEST
    Fri Sep 09 2005 10:30:28 ET

The chart topping hip hop rapper star who used a network hurricane fundraiser to charge "George Bush doesn't care about black people" was loudly and lustily booed during last night's NFL kickoff show.

The appearance of Kanye West, who was beamed into the Boston stadium via remote from Los Angeles, received a strongly negative response from the crowd.

"The boos were thunderous and lasted for much of his number," reports the BOSTON GLOBE.

Of course he was booed. He was selfish enough to make political banter during a relief concert for the greatest natural disaster (Andrew maybe) in US history. I'm sure the black people starving and dying from disease in the area are glad that he took time to share his political opinion during THEIR relief concert.

The best is after West say that Bush doesn't care about black people the look on Myer's face.

There aren't just black people that are starving and dying there. I hate it when everything comes down to race and then people run with it.
