If you won 1 million $'s what would you do with the money?

I made it only 1 million so people could be a bit more realistic. When you say like 100million people get all crazy.

I would pay off my house, car, debt, and buy a nice place in the mountains near a ski resort. I would also probably invest in some type of business.

    How about you guys

Invest it and become a multi-millionaire. I'd use some of the interest to fund a life of scuba diving, island hopping and shopping for a high class mail order bride.

Keep in mind, after taxes you'd have about 590K or less.... sooo what specific investment would you get into?

I'd do exactly the same thing I'm doing right now, albiet with less money. I subscribe to a newsletter that is completely idiot proof. The man tells you what stocks to buy, when to buy them, and when to sell them. I swear by his recommendations. 90% of what he recommends goes up, just like he says it will. I made something like $300 today doing absolutely nothing. Of course, tomorrow it could go down some, but all said, in the last year my portfolio has gone up around 40%.

No problem dude. Just go to pirateinvestor.com and click on: Steve Sjuggerud's True Wealth. I'm pretty sure you can join from that page or it will tell you how to. It's $99 a year, but completely refundable if you don't like it.

I would buy a titty bar. I would buy my condo from my ex sweetie and partner in crime, who still owns it. I would become fully female so I would be a genuine three-holer. I would have Nellie, my dear old Nova, tricked out and spiffed up by some real professionals. I would maybe run for office, probably city council or something. Devote some time to doing civic things. Of course I would give up tricking. Maybe I would give the politics a pass... but everything else, yes. I might even continue my education, possibly pursue a law degree at Tulane, sit for the Bar Exam and open a practice, and do a lot of pro bono work for the trans community. I would buy LOTS of gear. I guess that's about it.

I've looked into it. A friend of mine owns a couple here in the US. To do it for less than a million is impossible, at least in the US. You'd have to get investors involved. In another country it might be possible to do it for much less and still make loads of money. I'm currently working on a book on this subject.

The biggest expense I would think would be the property and the licenses and insurance. It'd be a close call I would think, but you dont think 600 g's could get the job done?

After all the interior decorating and landscaping plus what you just mentioned, I don't think you'd have much left over. Guess it depends if you want a butt naked or a higher scale place.

I'm not talking about Vegas here, I'm talking about "Joe Schmoes house of ho's" actually, thats what I'll call it!!! The people in my parts dont care about landscaping and interior decorating, all they want is Icehouse and tits

There's much more money to be made in a higher class place where people actually spend money instead of sit in the corner and buy 1$ dances. 18 year olds don't exactly have cash like a 35year old business owner and his 5 married friends.

Yeah, true. I guess I'd just have to open a shithole and start small, then upgrade when I made some money off it, or found investors. Actually, finding investors before you started would be the smartest thing to do.

Not much of a car and house bro even if it is the entire million. Basically 200K in a house and 50 into a car i guess it also depends on where you are buying but from what is going on the west coast you wont get more than a 2 bedroom condo in a ok area for 200K

600 K i would buy some long and short straddle options very selectivly and watch the markets full time instead of working. either that or i would open a boat sales and rental shop and rent drivers and boats to take people out to wakeboard ski or whatever. That wouldnt be work and that would be perfect.

I bounced, then managed a full-nude joint here in CA for about a year. I can tell you that they are big time money making machines!! High class or $hitty, they turn out cash hand over fist.

The biggest expense they have, I swear to god, are lawyers. The owner for the place that I worked owned two clubs himself (was part owner in a third) and had a team of lawyers on staff. Lawsuits ranging from indecency to prostitution to drugs.

It's a high risk business, but he had a Viper, two Mercedes (one for him, one for the wife), a Prowler (he was a Dodge fan) and I never knew how many motorcycles he had. I saw a Ducati and a couple of Harley's. High risk pays high dividends.

So yeah, if I had a Mil to invest.. I'd find a nice law firm, some good property, a bunch of strippers and make my fortune.

Farva: It doesn't matter cause I'm going to win ten million dollars.
Thorny: What are you going to do with ten million dollars, and you can't say buy the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Farva: I'd buy a ten million dollar car.
Thorny: That's fine I'd still pull you over.
Farva: Bull Shit. You couldn't pull me over, and even if you did I'd activate my car's wings and I'd fly away.

If I won a million bucks? Hmmm well since lottery winnings are non taxable here I'd get the full million...

    - I think I'd take the first 250k and put it in a trust fund for my kid.
    - Then 50-100k would go towards getting my kid in a good private high school for the next 5 years.
    - Then I'd invest 500k as my retirement nest egg / rainy day fund
    - Finally I'd spend the rest to pay off my debts and treat my family a bit. Maybe buy a new car.

A mil isn't that much money nowadays...

$1,000,000 CAD = $843,706.92 USD at the current exchange rate. You're better off winning a mil in Canada than in the US
