I want to setup a web page that users can browse to and click on a link that would setup a networked printer, i tried the standard unc path for example

\\servername\printer

but the browser cannont find it on the network,

if i send the same link through an email the link is clickable and sets up the printer on the workstation....

any ideas ?

I know this is not a techie website but I know some of you work in IT and may have tried this already.
