Best Bodybuilder to never win Mr. O?
I know some of you will name guys that aren't on the list, but who do you think is the best bodybuilder to never win the Big One?
-

I have to go with Big Lou on this one.
I left guys like Cormier and Cutler off because they may still have a chance to win before they are done.

I agree that Flex is good, but Lee is a Freak! Always amazis the fans, but for some reason never wins it. I think things are going to turn around for Lee in the future.

I think everyone knows that Mike Mentzer SHOULD have won the Mr. O in 1980, so much so that Joe Weider won't even allow videos or pix of the show to be released. Many people to this day have never seen anything from that show.
Arnold should not have won.
I also liked Bob Paris and Rich Gaspari, both just competed at the wrong time and place. Easily both could have won if not going against Lee Haney.

Tell me your joking FI.
Canes IMO in 1980 Frank Zane should have won once again. But I like that you acknowledge what a great BB Haney was. IMO he is the best ever. I think he brought on the era freaks.

I forgot I voted for Flex. If it weren't for Ronnie "The Super Freak" Colman he would have won his share.

Everyone is a winner in my book cause they put so much hard work in themselves for us muscle lovers to enjoy! But if I had to pick one guy it would have to be Shawn Ray! He's been in the sport since the early 80's.Give him what he deserves!

Lee Priest !!!! We all know he will never win...

I give it to the greats-Lou and Serge. They were among the pioneers and deserve at least one medal. They looked awesome before BB became an exact science.

It has to be Flex. When Ronnie won his first O, Flex beat him on everything but size. Flex was the winner but he didn't have the well-liked personality. Joe Weider wouldn't have Flex as his Mr. O.

I voted for lee preist. He is an inspiration to all of us short people
-

Sorry-I believe the god of shorties is Franco Columbu. That's why he won Mr. O so many times.-He had all the muscle of a giant packed onto a 5'4" frame, plus still holds several world records in powerlifting! I think he was 210lbs in '78. If you take a good look at Franco between '76 and his comeback in '83, you'll also see that he pioneered the superbeast(Coleman, Yates, Priest, etc.) ten years ahead of his time!

Flex-genetics are about as good as it gets. If he could put it all together at the right time, he IS Mr. Olympia.

Are you sure? The size is about right, but the face doesn't look right. I guess it's just one of those pics where he doesn't look like himself.

Definately Mike Mentzer - But I like Flex and Ferrigno as well - but hey, at least Lou got his own TV show, which made him a heck of a lot more than the O ever would have
