    Question New Email Question

    i have a guy that might have scammed me. All i have is his cyber rights email address. . My question is is there anyway i can find out who is behind that email address? If so how? Im not sure i can do a ip check with a email addy any help thanks

    If you haven't deleted his email, then click on "View full header" and it will show where his message originated. I mean the IP address etc. Once you get his IP address, then you can figure out if he used public or his private PC. If he used public PC, you can't do anything. If he used his own PC, you can find his place.

    When you view the header and retrieve the IP you have to do a who is on that IP address. That will give you the ISP that owns those addresses. You can then contact that ISP to track down the customer of that particular IP. Good luck.

    Only problem with that is if he used webmail and I think that this is the case. If so, then the ip address in the header will come from the web server.
