    Birth Control Sponge?

    hey all...another birth control question...so here's the deal...my girlfriend simply cannot take the pill, shes tried several different types but never makes it past a week taking it because she is apparently too sensitive to even the lo dose one and gets moody and depressed and cranky...condoms just suck for all involved and we've already had a heart stoppin break one time...soo...has any one's girlfriend/wife/whatever ever used the sponge? if so, what are your thoughts on it?

    may i ask WTF is the spounge, i have heard of the pill, shot, patch, and the new ring were they insert it into the vagina but never the spounge

    i dont know if the sponge is back on the market yet...it was discontinued for a while...anyone remember the episode of seinfeld where elaine finds out that the daily sponges have been discontinued so she starts interviewing and screening different men to see if they are "sponge worthy"?

    yea funny episode. I'm not sure if they are back on the market yet but I will give you one tip and that is stay away from tyhe patch. I mean you can use it but there have been some deaths related to use of the patch maily blood clots if used while using nicotine. A women from my town just died from using the birth control patch and the smokers patch at the same time so just my .02

    patch is definately out also...ya, walgreens is selling the today sponge (run and tell elaine )...anyone else?

    I'm not sure the rating on the sponge its high like 97-98% effective but I remember reading that it is very good

    tried 3 or 4 so far...each, including the low dose hormone, all the same negative sides...moodiness, sadness, crankiness, tired, etc...she's very medication sensitive, even with supplements and she is such a naturally happy person, she just couldn't stand (and i agreed) feeling shitty every day...pull and pray isn't gonna last forever and like i said, we even had the condom break, call doc at 2am, run to drug store for plan B scene (not cool by the way) so...curious about this shiet...

    Placebo effect......she thinks that those are negative side effects of taking the pill daily, but actually, by believing that they are side effects her body is making them real, tell her get the shot

    that depo...hell no...shes too afraid she'll fat up (probablly right too)...she not usually psycho-somatic, but even her face got a little blotchy once...aw hell...ill just go get snipped...
