do you guys think this is accurate or not. football strength comparison

scroll to the bottom, they give what they think are strength averages for guys in their positions. do you think they are accurate or not?

for linebackers, it sais 360 lb bench press is superior. BUt it seems to me like many d1 backers press more like 450?

    what to yall think

no those numbers do not seem right....im only 18 and i could get superior in the squat and power clean for lineman and im a linebacker...my bench is barely good however

i would say the bench and clean need to be bumped up a bit...squat is about right though i think maybe a little more

if its an average there are many players that do not lift big weights but they showed larry allen bench press 700 lbs on the local news here. laroi glover also bench pressed 225 lbs 31 times in 60 seconds on the nfl challenge.

Those numbers might be accurate for the average player, but i would think d1 big program starters and nfl prospects numbers dwarf these.

I go to a d1 school. our football team for the first time in years and years is now competitive in their conference, our conference is moderately competetive and our teams in our conference usually play at least 1 ranked d1 school in there schedule. I checked our roster which has strength numbers. I was shocked to see how close their numbers actually were. majority of the starters were not superior in strength and alot of guys who did not start were below good

i hate seeing all this crap on how much someone can bench especially when it comes to football players.how much weight one moves doesnt mean much on the football field. sure you might be stronger but if you dont know how to utilize it it doesnt matter. i played in high school and had opportunities to play in college but had major shoulder troubles, anyway i was never the strongest when it came to the weight room but i was a dominating all state defensive end for 2 years and a tight end for one. its the desire and determination that matters.
