Resume Help
First off, i am in the IT field, so anybody in the field chime in. I went to an interview today the guy told me that my resume was good but i needed to "beef" it up.
I currently work the Help Desk for a government agency, here is the info and tools used:
99% workstations are WinXP
A few 2000 workstations
Utilize Remedy ticketing system
Troubleshoot VPN connectivity issues
work with Oracle database (reset passwords, unlock accounts)
obviously the use of proprietary software
some UNIX work
utilize direct connections to solve end user issues
I need to word this all together somehow and am wondering if anyone has any ideas? I really need to strecth it good...not lie but to definately make it stand out.

fellow IT guy here.... my resume was actually redone by the career dept at my school. but what i did before that was refer to a harvard grad resume i found online and kind of mirrored it.
It basically has all of my computer related employment history and certs...etc listed at the top and the other general jobs listed below it. i could send you my res if youd like to take a gander at it.

I have
Objective
Education
Skills: Software, Enviroments, Languages
and Experience/Important noted Projects

You may want to hire a place that will write your resume professionally. You could find a computer repair place that has been out of business for a couple years and say you worked their and make up your job description but that wouldn't be right.
