    A warning for all

I'm on cycle now so that's why I am posting here. Within a 45 minute period yesterday, I got a dull pain in my upper groin area, and I sarted feeling miserable while at work.

Later at the hospital, the doctor examined my leg which had turned bright red and was swelling including the front of my shin. She immediately told me to take off my sock and checked between my toes.

The culprit was an athlete's foot infection which had entered my bloodstream. I had itching between my toes for a couple of weeks, but it stopped. Stupid me. I am on twice a day injections of penicillin for 3 days now, and hopefully it will clear up.

I got it from the showers at the gym. If you have any signes of athlete's foot, make sure you take care of it quickly and not wait like I did.

Penicillin usually won't touch Multiple Resistant Staph Aureus. If it was MRSA they would have to use a different antibiotic.

Hope everything works out with your foot bro.

My feet never touch the floor at the gym. When I change, I stand on top of my gym shoes. The floor is so nasty, imagine how much piss you are standing in every time you pee. Then it's tracked all over the locker room floor. I'm not gonna stand in that.

    pussies.............

you have to build up a resistance to that stuff... if you have baby soft skin, or cuts, and sores, or ingrown toe nails i can see the extra protection..

flip flops.... pussies.. oh wait.. i don't like walking in urine..

stop taking a piss in the showers..

Sounds like the athletes foot (fungus) got bad enough on his feet that some form of bacteria was able to penetrate and get into his system.

Same thing can happen from an ingrown toenail. Infection get so bad the toe has to be amputated. Not the ingrown toenail that caused the infection, the bacteria caused the infection, the ingrown toenail provided the means for the bacteria. Hope that makes sense.

    peace,

The thought of showering at my gym gives me the creeps anyhow.

There are just some things I will never do.

This would be one of them.

Some people are just stupid, wearing flip flops in the showers is common sense. Its like looking both ways before you cross a street, you shouldnt need to be told. One of the wrost things i have seen/still see are when i am taking a piss and a guy walks up to the stall bare foot to piss .

    yeah that makes sense
I thought the fungus causing the athletes foot had entered the bloodstream itself causing a systematic(is this the right word?)fungus infection? I know it can happen with candida atleast
