how come everyone says skinny is "ripped"??

im browsing through some training and aas threads, and all i see is " my buddy wants to gain mass cuz hes skinny 6'0 145 but hes ripped". wtf? does this bug anyone else?

skinny meaning no muscle is NOT ripped

. now the pro guys, when they stand on stage ya thats ripped.

LOL. Their perception of being ripped is different than yours and mine I guess. That or they want it feel as if their buddy isn't a total newbie to the game.

i know alot of small dudes who are ripped. especially small fighters. guys weighing only 140 with 5% bf. means that, although they are small, the weight they pack on their frames is muscle. therefore ripped.

Ripped is great without clothes on. But with clothes you look skinny unless y our a monster. So you can look skinny even though your ripped and have some size with clothes on

This is the same reasons that friends of Fat girls say that they full figured.. They want their friends to feel better about themselves instead of living in the truth. If you're fat your fat, not big boned, not thick, not full figured, you are fat and there is nothing wrong with that just call it what it is.. there are plenty of wonderful fat girls in the world.. Just the same if you are a skinny little boy you are a skinny little boy, not ripped, not lean and not in shape... you are just skinny... go eat something boy!!

What they probably mean by ripped is good definition. It doesn't make much sense but for average Joe who doesn't have the great shape it is good enough.
