Pinkie's story sharing time!
By all means....I'm not the strongest girl out there. But, my gains have been almost double since my competition in June.
So,yesterday was chest and tricep day.
I'm about to do Dumbbell Incline BenchPress, and considering what I was doing last week...I thought about moving up in weight. So, I did.
Walking to my bench with my dumbbells in hand, there was a guy sitting beside me....maybe about five years younger than me. I quickly glanced at him earlier and could see that he was also doing the same exercise as I was about to do....using 30 pound dumbbells.
As I sat there getting ready....I could see him at the corner of my eye waiting to see what I was gonna do.(I hate people watching, I lose concentration).
So, I too waited. He wouldn't start a set. So I thought...screw it...I gotta get on with my workout. So, I pushed out 8 reps.
He looked at his 30's....kinda sadly....got up and put them back and walked away.
Maybe he thought he looked like a little pansy....cause I was using 55's!
To tell you the truth....I felt really bad....the look on his face was like I just crushed his dreams! But, maybe now I inspired him to workout harder.
Thought I'd share my story with everyone.
Hugs!Someone's Little Pumpkie

Good job Pinkvelvet. Was that the start of your chest routine, or the middle of it? When I flat bench the 70's or 80's for four sets, 55's are tough for me too.

Good job. I love making people think that b/c they are bigger than myself that they are stronger but then I'll bust out some parallelsquats with like 250 and they are doing 185 quarter squats.

Well I think there is a little in this story.. If the truth be known I was pressing 35's not 30's and the only reason I left was because my cappuccino was ready at the smoothy bar.
J/K Pink.. that is a great lift I would not want to lift next to you either.

Nice one.
Last week i was in the gym Pink...and these dudes were training legs in the power rack.
I was doing chest at the time...and i saw them out of the corner of my eye.
I thought...shit these guys are just taking up space (they were pansying about with 135 lbs on the bar)... This was like their 3rd or fourth set. I've seen them training before and they always cop-out on legs.
So i walked over...and asked politely if i could cut in.
They said yes... I unracked the bar from the uprights...and curled it for 6 or 8 reps..
It wasn't a show-off tactic imo.
I was just trying to show 'em that they were fvcking around.
They took the message.
The next session they went up to 225 lbs..
Guess it worked

you do your thing girl.
it would be kinda scary to see a girl life more then me. But i have seen some women put up some serious weight. we have a girl prob 27 at one of my gyms that i have seen rep out 330 8 times. everyone stops to watch her. thats a hell of alot of weight for a women to put up. I think its awsome though takes women alot of hard work to get to those kinds of weights. its really somthing to be proud of. Keep up the hard work!
