No offense here. Actually, what offends me is people who are offended by the phrase, but still exchange gifts and celebrate the season. Christmas is about one thing and one thing only...if you are reaping the benefits of the Christmas Season, i.e. cheer, good times, gifts, time off, etc you should show some respect to what it is about. I have heard of companies taking Christmas out of the name and changing it to "the holiday season" or "Winter Festival". That bugs me a lot. Just because you do not believe in something does not mean that those who do should have to change the name of it! Christians do not ask Jews to change Hannaka(sp?) or Muslims to change Ramadan, but people want to take Christ out of Christmas and that is just not right. I guess they call it political correctness of something, but it is going too far.

yes but what exactly is christmas celebrated for ?? the birth of christ.

the cheer, good times, gifts, time off, etc. that you stated above are all results as the birth of christ

plus we live in a world where there are many more atheists than past years. people are being released from the matrix at a more rapid rate.

Yes...the cheer and all that is absolutely the result of the birth of Christ. However, what bothers me is when people want the cheer and whatnot, but do not respect why we celebrate. That is all I was saying.

Like Swole said "Merry Christmas Everyone". I hope you all have a wonderful and safe Christmas!

I always say Happy Holidays just because it includes New Years and Boxing Day and for American's I would use it becuase your holiday season pretty much starts at Thanksgiving. I do agree that this is an example of workplace PC gone wrong, people should be free to wish others as they see fit. In closing, for my Jewish bros and sisters, Happy Happy Hannukah, too much funnukah!!!

I really don't think any one would be offended by someone saying "merry christmas" just because it is said with good intentions. Any person, no matter what religion, can see that.

I fu*king hate christmass. It is just a cult that jas got out of hand all this jesus buissness. I mean all that stuff in the bible, its no big deal apart from the fact that the whole thing contradicts itself many times.
But as far a christmass goes, i dont see the point. Its the same jokes as the previous years that were not funny then so are not gonna be funny now. Everyone bin nice to each other its all a load of crap

A national school in Ireland has told the kids they can't give each other christmas cards. The reason a Jehova witness received one last year showed it to his parents and his parents kicked up a stink. Equality goes too far sometimes. The kid was like about 8-9 or nine years old and gets into a load of trouble for wishing his friend a happy christmas. That just wrong if you ask me.

some things just go to far. and that is an example of stupidity. I know I hate christmass but i still dont have a problem with my son enjoying it cos he can make up his own mind when he is older

max2extreme I already had a similar discussion a while ago. But we could agrue the points all day and not one of us would be proved right or wrong. But the way I see it is "wheres the proof" of a so called god ? And dont say the bible cos its only a book. this is all I have to say on the matter

I think you guys should be on the watch of the statement made earlier about the school in Ireland not being able to give christmas cards. More and more slowly things like these are popping up all of the time The country of Russia has only allowed three religions that are exceptable and have banned all of the rest and fines and imprisonment are punishments if caught practicing. France has outlawed any religious symbols ie....headscarves.....crosses.......bibles just last week a school in the US removed christmas carrols because of this recent goings on. This may not sound like much but I would advise all of you to keep on the watch for seemingly small events like this that are begginning to pop up more and more as blips in the news about the increasing rate of people headed towards a mindset to ban religion as a whole.

And if you're offended by it and feel you shouldn't have to hear it.. Tough shit, the constitution doesn't protect your feelings.

You have never met my Jewish neighbor.

I get into Christmas, and kind of go all out. I pay for these guys to come over and put lights up on my house. Well, these guys accidentally put literally 3 bulbs of lights that crossed the property line. My neighbor actually called the association and made a formal complaint and made sure the association notified me how offended this guy was with my display.

What a prick....why did he not just come over and ask me to move them. It literally took me 5 seconds to move the lights.

Put up a some more decorations out front then. But be sure to make them RIGHT UP against the property line.... or you can put some barbed wire up like in the holocaust and see if his head explodes... or maybe his nose will get bigger.... jk jk
To be honest, i think it's just where you live that you have some asshole neighbors. Some of my friends are jewish, and they don't freak out.
