Unhappy 315lb disaster. weight fell on my chest

I was psyhed about working out today. got me some pussy this morning when i got off, work took a nap. went to the gym started @ 135lbs. 225lbs. @ 315lbs i asked for a spotter. i told the guy don't help me lift it off but he said he didn't hear me. when i lifted off so did he and when i extended my arms to get ready to lower the weight, when he let go and handed it to me which threw me off when the weight was fully mine my hand slipped and 315lbs came straight down on my chest with no resistance . i wasn't lowering it and got stuck! he did'nt have his hands on it on the way down helping me! IT WAS 315LBS ALL BY ITSELF FROM ABOUT A 21/2 FT DROPPED. straight down untouched. i wasn't touching it nor was the spotter. one of the worse feelings i've ever had. i rolled of the bench and hit the floor. gathered my self and walked around for minutes. vision was blurry but later straight. now my chest is sore as hell. i can't cross my arms. can't laugh! hurts to sit down or lay down. hard as hell to drive especially steer or turn around to look back. went to the hospital. NO BROKEN RIBS! NO CRUSHED LUNGS! NO BRUISES! GOD IS GOOD!!! I Believe if i was smaller that weight would have crushed me! don't know how long i will out of the gym but i can't take deep breaths or lift my arms straight up without pain. i last weighed in a 233lbs. about 7lbs from my first goal. 2nd goal is 245lbs and last goal is 260lbs. i will continue to take my shots and eat but i don't know how long it'll be before i'm able to push weights. i was feeling strong on the warm ups and stretched between sets. glad to still have my life . my first thought was don't know what it was. i think i thought about my kids. like damn i can't be hurt or die. Hallelu Yah!

That happened to a buddy of mine. He ended up breaking his collar bone and some ribs. Glad to hear you made it out alright.

Damn bro, sounds like you came out lucky man. I have had the bar roll in my hands before because of my wrist rolling forward and thats scary as hell. Glad you are ok for the most part.

hope you have a speedy recovery ... i was benching 365 the other day and i had my bro in the middle with the bar and asked 2 guys to help on the sides in case of trouble .. it was kind of dramatic looking but i decided that in case of trouble my pal might not be able to get it off of me so i sucked up my pride and played it safe .. sounds like your spotter blew it .. good luck
