I just got back from seeing the movie....honestly, probably the best movie I have ever seen in my life. Everyone should go see it. Well worth the 3 hours. absolutely amazing.

I too saw it last night and wonder if you saw a different movie (or were high on crack) 'cause to me it was a looooongwinded kids film with good special effects.

DON'T READ THIS POST IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE YET!

Sorry but nowadays I expect special effects to be damn near perfect - these weren't. The bits where Kong picked her up didn't look right to me.

Also, the scene where they are getting chased by the brontosaurus's (at least I think that's what they were) was just too childish - I know it has to be suitable for younger viewers too but it was a bit too ridiculous for me.

How come those bat thingies just happened to conveniently attack Kong at just the right time?

It dragged a bit.

I know it seems like I'm being a picky bastard, don't get me wrong I did like the movie but I don't think it is worth all the hype its been getting.
