    Ephedra question

    Last I knew, ephedra was illegal but, does anyone know if it is or not anymore? I came across an articel that I was only able to read partially and it lead me to believe that ephedra was no longer illegal. Any info? Thank you.

    I have some ephedrine right now in my pocket, just got it today. It is legal on the basis to be used as a bronchodilator

    Ephedra is legal again as far as I know. When they were taken to court, the "people" had no proof the ephedra had any health risks. So its put back on the market. The nutrition store that I go to has it, I don't know if they ship merchandise or not

    it says they only have products that are "just as good" and that ephedra was banned on april 12 2004.....??

    every product there that contains ephedra brings up the page that just says ephedra was banned.

    legal again for weight loss products in doses of 10mg per serving

    some states still have resrtictions.


    however you have always been able to find it in 25mg servings for bronchial aids with the added expectorant.

    Found this, dont know if its true or not but, if it is, it is good to know:

    Ephedra = Plant extract along with other alkaloids.
    Ephedrine - Direct EPHEDRINE HCL, very pure and good.

    Ephedra has some components that make it semi strong, but out of 335mg you get about 20mg of ephedrine, I prefer ephedrine and noticed a more profound effect and you know how much you're getting per dose. I also believe that ephedrine is safer then ephedra.

    ephedra = banned by the fda
    ephedrine = legal over-the-counter asthma treament
