Is it possible that my cat is depressed?

I have a beautiful six month old Persian cat called Picky. She used to be very active until last week. Now she's stopped eating out of her litter box. She also has stopped Meowing a lot. Is something wrong with her? I’m really concerned because this is kind of sudden behavior and it seems like lethargic or depressed.

Any one has ideas what to get for her to entertain her? How to introduce her to a new cat? Any ideas?

    Thnak you,

She's getting ready to go into heat or season for the first time. Why does your cat eat out of a litter box dude?

LOL i was thinkin the same thing. Cats actually can get depressed believe it or not. It could be sick also so you should prolly see a vet soon. That'd actually be my first choosing. I've had a cat for 10 years now so I know the ins and outs. It just doesnt sound healthy from the way you described it. If the vet says there is nothing wrong, try playing with it and giving it "catnip" cats love that shit. Does your car drink a lot of water?

Also cats really dont like each other if they havent grown up with each other. But the way we introduced our cats to each other was we put them on the opposite side of a glass door in the house until they got use to each other. But to entertain her drag a length of string around the house, especially around the stairs cuz my cat loves that shit. But cats are suckers for catnip. They literally get high off that shit.
