    Does anybody read books anymore?

Not for school, but as a leisure activity? Nowadays it seems like no one reads books anymore because of all this " New Age Technology" whereas my parents for instance always have a fukin book in their hand. I myself get bored of books and have a hard time finishing one up when I start it. It's very frustrating, but I try. Anyone else feel the same way?

Right now i'm like reading three different books, but I'm always going back and forth between them and can never finish one.

I think the key is to find stuff that really interests you, but when you have this site what else is there to read?

I was reading Albert Einstein's "The World as I see it", but I got so bored of it I stopped not even half way through. I found this being recommended in the political forum so that's one of the reasons I picked it up.

The last book I can say I read all the way through was Jose Canseco's autobiography, rofllllll.

Rebel With Out A Crew (about Robert Rodriguez) and how he made his 1st film "El Marachi" is a good read and a non-fiction, makes you wanna go out and grab a camera and make your own "Guerilla Film", and Terry Pratchett is a good comedy fiction read, you'll laugh out loud.

That's one thing I'm always meaning to catch up on. It seems like I go in spurts where I'll read a few boods in about a month, and then nothing for a year.

I have been watching alot of classics, and old west movies. Like Bronson films as of late. So I still have some appreciation for the arts. I was planning on getting rid of my TV all together, but I can't bring myself to do it, b/c I need something to watch movies on. I just figured I'd drop the cable/dish soon and just rely on local network programming if I find an urge to watch. If i didn't have my tv it would also give my a reason to leave the house for the local pub for the Bears game.

I don't read much outside of programming and art books, but I've been trying to catch up on 'regular reading' with audio books during my day job.

Warrior, The Donald has a part in his last two books where he writes about the week in the life of him, all business. It's a great read. Another good book is "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" what the rich teach their children that the poor don't and can't.

Yeah, I got a few of the Rich Dad, Poor Dad books - those are good reads! Especially his ideas on overlapping incomes and investments... but I am looking more for the psycology of the work environment, especially how to get around and deal with f' ups in management and peers...
