I also heard it wasn't that good, but since I haven't seen it I can't personally say its bad. I'll look forward to it now, blockbusters with special effects usually are poor because of a bad storyline or poor acting. I hope this is a blockbuster with good acting as well, the storyline of course is classic so that isn't a problem

Sorry, but for my money the special effects are flawed.
My palms were running with sweat at the end though - I can't deal with heights.

I heard it's over three hours long. I can't sit there for that long. Reminds me of the Titanic.

too long. ideal movie time for me is 140 minutes. this was around 180 minutes. bunch of stuff they could have cut out.
but, special effects were good.

It was ok but i wouldnt see it twice just too long. Peter jackson fronted up $20 million to make it over 3 hours long since the studio agreed to a shorter film, the guys commited/or needs to be.

Peter Jackson overextends everything.....the last Lord of the Rings installment could've ended 5 different times at some points and by the REAL end of it I was just drained and not even into it anymore.

I thought it was a great movie but it was too long, they could have done without the first hour I reckon
