    Pain killer perscription

My girlfriend got perscribed some pain killers. They are called 'IC OXYCODONE W/APAP 5/325'. What are they. Can they be addictive? I think they are called perks but may be wrong. There not oxycottin are they?? Should I be worried if she takes too many in one day? They look pretty big.. Thanks guys..

I think it's the gneric version of oxycottin......... but yes they are a addictive pain killer.

She must be in a lot of pian to have these prescribed to her.

You should see if I what I thnik is correct about it being the generic version............ but there must be a good reason why he prescribe them for her. Did she have some major surgery latley, or some illness that would cause her some serious pain?

sorry to hear that............... but it must be pretty painful......... if she uses them as prescribed there shouldn't be any problems. It's people that have addictive traits that start eatting them like candy that end up having problems.

    Good luck.

oxycodone are not oxycontins.. they are percacettes. Addictive, very. Nothing like oxy's tho. Oxycontins are prescribed to people who are dying, oxycodone is a very minor painkiller compared to them.

(info i got from my girlfriend just now)

    Oxycodone(Percoset) 5mg/Acetametophen(Tylenol) 325mg.

They are the lowest dose percoset that you can get. They come in 5,7.5,10,&15mg dosages. She obviously needs them for the pain, and they should do the job, so long as she is taking 1 every 4 hours, and not more. That way she wont get the 'high' effects that people who are addicted take them to achieve. Thats why it should be "use as prescribed," meaning follow the directions on the bottle, and dont chew them.
