ok, im looking to buy a car, i already have one, but i want to buy a cheap car that goes fairly fast just to cruise around in. what kind of car goes fairly fast, that i could get for $1,500 to $2,000. i know you cant realy get any fast cars for the amount, but what would be some of the faster cars that i could get in that price range.

The best advice I can give you is to also consider how well a car handles and stops when you are car shopping. When I was 18 (20 years ago) I bought an old Barracuda with a 340 in it, the car was fast but on the drive home I put it into the median thanks to the horrible handling condition the car was in and the lack of any real brakes. I can tell by your posts that speed is important to you, and there is certainly nothing wrong with that, just do it safely.
