friend died!!
im goin gto pass some food for thought to you guys cause i feel you've helped me. ill be 33 on the 12th. im no wear near a body builder but am pretty big. anyway a friend of mine died last week very into bodybuilding and very much a great person. he was into juice and dieting and that really puts a toll on the body . he also loved to party and later got into meth which then that ate him up. he was the same age as me. i dont do meth and am moderate on the juice. he died of the beginning stages of heart disease. this could have been caught if he'd done check ups. what im trying to say is. we do what we do for our bodies and ourself but we owe it to ourselves to not be to proud to get a blood test or a good physical. please take an interest in your inner body get yourself checked ekg, blood work etc!!! cause i dont care how big and bad you think you are. your a pussy if you dont care to get checked after reading this. dont let your family and friends suffer from a sudden death from your stupidity!!!!!!

sorry about your lose, but hopefully some good can come from it, if at least one person reads this post and takes your advice and goes to the doc for a check up.

To answer the reason for your question, you want to get a lipid panel done when you get bloodwork. Fast for 12 hours prior to getting the test done, as this is the only way to get accurate numbers for things such as triglycerides. I get an appointment early in the morning to make this easy. But you can and should continue to drink plenty of water.

that was my question exactly... all Im thinking is does the lipid profile reveal all steroid related problems concerning the heart.. There are some other factors here also but IMO the lipid profile sure is the most important one.. I recently checked my values on PCT and my good cholesterol a lil below the recommendation but my total cholesterol was a lot below.. Im also thinking that many people can be on continous cycles for years and check their lipid profiels always after PCT. Then it could be relatively ok but what is possible that from the given year they are really off (lipid values) for like 2/3 of the time.. This IMO can lead to serious problems in the long run.. This is also y I havent decided yet that willI use orals or not in my upcoming cycle. .prolly will..

Very sorry to hear about your friend. I can't stress enough how important getting routine checkups is. We all tend to think we are invinsible. I was on gear for a very long time and after reading a similiar thread back in August, I went for a checkup (though I tend to get them routinely). My cholesterol was a whopping 311!!!! Since then (and being off gear), my cholesterol is now 172.
