    Anybody had Lasik Eye Surgery???

I just wanted to see if anybody on here had it done. I had it done 2 years ago on on Jan 9th so I figured if anybody wanted to get it done, I would recommend it. I used to wear glasses and got headaches, so I switched to contacts, and I got a couple of eye infections, so I decided to get Lasik Eye Surgery. The best way to describe my vision is like watching HDTV. Yes I said HDTV, my vision is crystal clear, and I love it. Its totally worth getting it done, 2 years ago it costed $3,000, $1500 each eye, and my insurace paid $200 each eye, so $400 total, so I paid $2,600. Now prices dropped so I know you can get it cheaper than $3,000. Another thing is im sure Lasik Eye Surgery is more perfected today, and thats a fact, so if anybody has questions about it just holla at me.

    yes

Maloney Vision Institute in Beverly Hills, this is not something you want to look for too much of a bargain on-it's your eyes! My vision is now better than 20/20 and I've had no adverse effects. I am very please with the results, but I have read about people having trouble with the procedure and with bad doctors. Do your homework, research the doctor and the procedure. Good luck!

..My wife had her's done right @ a year ago (LASIK, not wavefront)..Her vision uncorrected was worse than 20/400....The other measurement was 9.25 in her left eye and 9.75 in her right eye.
....At her 6 month checkup, she was seeing better than 20/20..I believe her left eye was 20/15...
..The cost was around $3100, but we went to cornea specialist in the nearest large town so she could see the same Dr. that did her surgery if she had problems in the future....
...I know some people have their LASIK done cheaper, but the surgery is done by a "traveling" specialist..Your followup visits, etc. are done by someone other than the doc that did your surgery..Probably nothing wrong with that, but I wasn't comfortable taking chances with her vision....
...But it was definitely worth it..she hasn't regretted it a single minute since she had the procedure done...

I've been on the fence for awhile now with getting this done. I wear contacts, but like mentioned above, I've also been prone to getting eye infections. You guys got me thinking about it again.

I would love to have it done. So sick of glasses and contacts. Another one of those things on my wish list right up there with gyno surgery!

No laser yet. Only 6 surgeries on my Rt eye. #1 remove piece of metal that went THROUGH the eyeball and lodged in the back of the eye socket age 10.
#2 remove inner lens and clean things up 6 months after 1st surgery. Age 10
#3 Try to clean up floating debris in the eye to improve vision 6mo - 1yr later ate 11.
#4 Experimental surgery grafting a lens to the outside of the cornea to try to improve vision and use video for teaching the surgery. Only semi successful, limited sight. I got to be awake for the whole surgery, talking to the doctor and watched it on overhead monitor. Age 28
#5 Lens and cornea replacement with donor/cadaver parts. More successful. 20/40 vision. Can only read LARGE letter block, everything is still VERY blurry, not correctable via glasses. I can legally drive with only the vision this eye if I needed to... Legally... That is SO wrong.... laws need to change... VERY bad. Age 38
#6 eye lid made to stay open a little wider to look natural. Drooped due to trauma. Age 40

Damn man! Your poor fvckin eyeball! I get nervous when I get a spec of dirt in my eye. I cant imagine all that shit. So are you at the limit of what can be done for you or are there other plans to try and improve your sight in the future?

It never hurt, I dont even feel anything/much when I get little shit in it now. LOL
The worst it ever hurt was I tried to wear a soft contact for a while before the last surgery to improve vision. I went skiing one time, didnt wear goggles, forgot I had my contact lens in until I woke up at 3am in severe pain because the contact had floze to my eye and more or less fused to my eye. I had to go to emergency where they put some numbing drops on my eye then remove the lens. LOL

No, at this time they say there is not any more they can do and probably never will be. I LOL when they said that. Never say never. 20 years ago they would have said it's impossible to do a lens and cornea transplant.

Hopefully someday because if anything ever happens to my left eye I'm Fvcked. I will NOT drive with only my right eye. It should be illegal. That law needs to change.

I been wanting to get it done. I have perfect 20/20 right now but I was hoping with perfect vision and surgery it would give me the ability to see through mens clothing. I'm hopeful.
