what'd you guys think of the new H3?

I'm thinking of getting one after I pay off my student loans this fall. But the whole ad campain seems geared toward women in most cases. It's a hot ride IMO but I'm not going to shell out another 30g's canadian for the H2. Whats your guys' opinion on it?

the H3 is not a "hummer" ... when u think of a hummer u think of power, size, something u can beat shit up with ..... maybe its just me but the H3 kinda looks like a jeep from the back

Well, it has the very marketable Hummer styling, in a size that is easier to drive and park. It is still an exceptionally rugged SUV that can do okay off-road. I think it is an idea whose time has definitely arrived. I would not care to own one, but I would definitely give it up to the guy who dreamed it up.

    Embarassing

Don't mean to flame but my Subaru Outback has more HP, goes 0-60 in under 6 seconds and only gives .1 inch on the ground clearance to the H3. If you're going to get a chick car, I recommend the outback wagon (yeah, I admit it, I drive a chick car).

Agreed, it does have the Hummer styling. I find the vehicle visually appe****g but it is too small inside for me. I also found the inside user interface to be a bit chintzy looking. GM could have beefed up the dash/gauge cluster a little but. I would buy this vehicle for myself as a second car, if it had moore room for the driver or for my wife if it was a hybrid.

Neither being the case, I'll stick with my Suburban.

In reality, most folks who would buy this vehicle, aren't really wheeling, so the vehicle's off road capabilities are not extremely important. IMO this class of vehicle means more to someone who needs added foul weather driveability, tows moderate loads (jetskis, atv's, etc), or might utilize 4WD to trailride/beach/country road.

You might also want to look into the new Toyota FJ...

Dude, you'd hate it, WAYYYY to small. Hummer is going to start to head in the direction Jeep went and make all their money off accessories. Especially this little H-3. And can you believe the price of an H-1 is up around 140k now!!!!!!

yea I havent seen one in person yet. but from the pics it looks alright. decent price to for an SUV too. I'm sure as hell not going any higher that $60,000 CAD with options for a truck/suv because I'm going to be saving for a house at the same time and I wanna pay it off in a year or 2 at most.

Well since you all trashed my H3 what's good for 60k CAD (50k US). I have a few ideas in mind but what are some your guy's ideas?

I'm a woman and I really dislike the H3 as well. I just think that if you want a hummer (which I like), ya gotta get the hummer--not a scaled down version of it that looks just like any other SUV. If I wanted a smaller "hummer," I'd just get a Range Rover!
