pics come out crystal clear.

My friend has the same Sony cam. It is great but Sony cams are a bit expensive so if you can find a good deal on eBay, it will be great.

i got my gf a canon powershot sd 400. it is a nice camera and easy to use. the stock memory is real low but she got a 256mb mem card for like 24 bucks on bizrate.com

I've always been a Canon fan. First digicam was a Canon Digital Elph. Damn good little camera. Only had a 2x optical zoom though. I upgraded last year to a Digital Rebel. I can put any EF lense on the thing and take sweet pictures.

It all depends on what you're wanting the camera for I guess. Whenever I want to find out something about a product the first place I check is CNET reviews. www.CNET.com

Get sony or HP! HP is high quality but u can get the cyber shot thats flat! U dont need more than 7 mega pixels but not under 5 either!

i got a dig cam the other day that 12 mega pixels written all over the box
only to get it home and find out that was just the lense and the actuall camera was only 4 megapixels

what the **** is that all about

look idk much about cameras but what i do know is i bought and returned 4 cameras before i wound up with my Nikon Coolpix 3.0 megapixel 3200. It friggan ruled untill last weekend i left it at my brothers house party and some asshole stole it. But def check it out, not sure what their rated but now i need to get a new one.

Definitely go with a Canon. Sony and Canon are top notch IMO. I have the Canon SD 450. I just got it a few months ago and before that I had the SD 300. I love them, really easy to use and take great pictures. It really depends on if you plan on printing the pictures or just like putting them on ur computer...if you are gonna print them get something around 4-5 megapixels or greater but if just on the computer anything around 4 megapixel is plenty. Optical zoom is where its at also, get something with a decent Optical zoom. Anyways good luck man, I really dont think you can go wrong with a Sony or Canon.
