Canadian Forces Medic emerges as a hero

    http://www.cbc.ca/story/world/nation...ck-060117.html
(i took the liberty of summarizing it)

    Master Corporal Paul Franklin

After a suicide attack (last saturday in afghanistan) 1 canadian civilian were killed & 3 Canadian Forces personnel were wounded, Franklins leg had been blown off, his other leg had been completley shattered and broken, immediatly he tied a tourniquet to his own severed leg, he than crawled to his fellow wounded soldiers and began administering first aid - both soldiers are now in medically induced coma's in Germany, doctors credit Franklin's immediate response to the reason the two soldiers are still alive.

Canadians have a history of insulting there nations army, hopefully this will make some of you proud.

did you actually watch that video?

I would feel sorry for the person who laughs at another for helping their fellow man, The army will do whatever it can to help the people.

He's actually stationed here in Edmonton...and, is now in a German hospital. His wife is expected to fly out today to see him.

We're all thinking of them at this time here!!!
