and they are one of the MOST AGGRESSIVE FISH EVER.. kan only be kept alone.. and will chomp and chew up any other fish u put them with.. w/o reason nomatter how well fed u keep em.. thats why i love em so.. they are VICSIOUS than most breeds of pirhannas..
there are only like 3 diff types of pirhannas that are as-more aggressive than most puffa's

i suggestu get a puffer
in a 55gal tank
u kan get on efor like 200 bux (tank) and start w/ simple fish.. after u get it down pat and learn how to take care of em.. get a puffa !
omfg they are so fun to feed.. i throw gold fish in there and he chomps them up.. not eats them but MUTILIATES THEM!.. takes our HUGE CHUNKS w/ his razor sharp beak
like when he was tiny i fed him guppies..
he bites them right in the middle.. and u kan watch the head of the guppy get SLICED off and fall down then he sux it up like a tasty morsal.. and moves on to the next prey... but apparently some have EATING DISORDERS and like to eat till they get UBER CONSTIPATED and DIE

I have 3 freshwater puffers. They are brutal. They've killed just about everything I've tried to put in there, even Cichlids....
