loss of strength from discontinuance of creatine?
ive got a fair amount of creatine left over from about a year ago and ive been thinking about taking it, but i know that supplementing with it will cause your body to stop producing its own natural creatine. has anyone experienced any significant loss of strength from discontinuing creatine?

i just stopped creatine after being on for about 6-7 months. the most noticable effect from comming off was my drop in endurance. i had the strength to lift the weight on my first set, but for my following sets i got to failure much faster

Creatine is produced in the body, but only in minimal amounts. That's why creatine supplementation is so effective, because it boosts your creatine levels well beyond what your body could ever produce naturally.
In answer to your initial question, I've never noticed any signifigant loss in strength when discontinuing creatine use, but like someone else already pointed out, I do notice a decrease in muscle endurance.

creatine comes from food in small amounts ,
and created by the body through amino acids
creatine, won't effect the bodies supply

it's great when off cycle. I use it as part of my PCT along with insulin (great combo). I don't really see a need for it while on AAS though
