    How can I estimate how much my tax return will be?

    Anyone know how I can figure out roughly, how much Ill get back? I will be claiming a child too.

    federal withheld: $2,900.

    social security wh:$1,600.

    medicare wh: $450.00

    wages: $31,500.00

    Any help you guys?

    Depends on too many factors.
    How you are filing, whether you itemize or not, do you use dependent care or child care, do you own an IRA, do you get any interest from other accounts, do you have any school loans...etc. etc.

    Cost me $9 but it was done in less than 10 minutes. There are free ones out there. Just go to www.irs.gov and it lists a shit load for free!!!

    Dude, even filing a straight 1040EZ - you owe taxes of $4,534 as single and $3,999 filing joint. Take the $1,200 deduction for a child and you still have $3,734 and $2,799 respectively.

    you can go to turbotax.com and do your tax return and see what your return can be. you don't have to pay unless you e-file it.
