I started lifting for sports. Over the past few years (since I've been coming to this forum) I've started getting into some body building as a hobby. As for the kind of people at the gym, well thats a whole spectrum of different types of people.
I used to lift for pussy,but after you get to a certain size the women seem to shy away.So nowadays I lift for personal reasons only.

I lift because it is something that I can completely control. The other reason is that I like how I feel when someone notices that I obviously work out. I am not talking about "damn baby, you is fine." I am talking about guys that actually appreciate the time and effort put into it.

lifting is good for you physically and mentally, it gives me a happiness i dont really experience when im not lifting
