I haven't seen that in ages either. Seems dangerous and not neccessary at all actually given the new age of equipment.

My gym has one of those machines but it hits them almost exactly the same as standing calf raises so I don't see much of a reason to do them aside from the way cool position of sticking ur ass up in the air and casually resting your arms on the pad in front of you (sarcasim).

I have my wife sit on my lap for leg ext. The belt for the machine is missing. But if I worked out with guy. I would figure out how to stay on the machine without some guy on me.
