When are your arms considered "BIG"?

How big do your arms need to be before they can be considered big? You know, before you can wear a "got tickets to the gun show" t-shirt. My guess would be they need to be at least 19 inches before you can talk about having big arms....
Mine are 18 1/2 inches cold but they don't impress me too much. Get over 20 and you are in a special class!!!

yeah, I think you're right. mine are about your size cold and I don't FEEL that big. people say I'm huge. maybe WE don't think we can wear a shirt like that but the average person probably thinks we should

I think that mostly depends on how big the rest of your body is. I mean if you are 195lbs and you have 18 arms that is big but the same guy at 295lbs and 18" arms is not.

I saw a chick the other day and she had at least 26" pythons but of course I think they were sleeping because they were just hanging there.. ugh!

Depends on how your arms look on your body and how you present you physique. Also how ripped/defined they are because an 18 inch arm ripped looks way better/bigger than a fat ass 22 inch piece of flab.

I've played this game with my physique as far as what looks BIG & what doesn't.
When I had the lower bodyfat and some definition going I got compliments on the arms.
When I bulked and actually measured larger on arms I would get comments like - "you know, if you cut up a little - those arms would be poppin!"

Proportion is the key and keeping the right level of bodyfat.
Just my opinion.

i get commenst on my arms alot, but i think they suck. havent measured them in years, so dont know what the actual number is. they have good definition and proportion, and the deltoid cuts into it rather well, so this all adds to the illusion

Exactly. I have known quite a few guys with 16%Bf+ that thought they had "big arms". Fat does not equal big.

No idea, i like to think at certain angles my biceps look big other days i dont think i have big arms at all. they come in around 19" during a flex on a non-pump. Just hanging there most of the time when i see myself in the mirror i think im small, but if i flex it seems to just come outta no where lol not sure how that works.

I think being "big" is having the illusion of looking big. It's not just overall mass that gets the brain to say "wow he's big (buff)". It's how the body is presented. If you're arms are up there around the 19 inch club... cool, but the cuts and definition that SHOW what muscles are there... that is to say that "uncover" them.. then you'll be "big"

all depends on ur height and frame. a small boned guy who's like 5'4", i would say has bigg arms if they're anywhere past 16, whereas for a bigger 6 ft tall guy he'd need 20 inch arms to be equivalent

Depends on the body frame and size. If you have small bone structue 14 inch arms could look big cuz it would be mostely muscle it all depends. Plus its how you carry yourself, that can make you look bigger or smaller.
