    What is wrong with Postmodernism?

"Deconstruction is not synonymous with "destruction", however. It is in fact much closer to the original meaning of the word 'analysis' itself, which etymologically means "to undo" -- a virtual synonym for "to de-construct." ... If anything is destroyed in a deconstructive reading, it is not the text, but the claim to unequivocal domination of one mode of signifying over another. A deconstructive reading is a reading which analyses the specificity of a text's critical difference from itself."

Cool Sounds like bull shinto to me...

It doesn't have a great beat, and you can't dance to it.

Nonetheless, I give you a "D" - while you were able to find the quote, you neglected to cite the reference in proper Turabian, MLA, or Chicago form.

I think its a great question. I know that it was a popular subject in the latter part of 2000. So I thought I would post a quick question and see what the best answer would be. Although-it is somewhat rhetorical.

Believe me if you understand the previous paragraph then you are far ahead of the pack.
